The newly released Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Global Internal Audit Standards become effective 9 January 2025, which gives internal audit departments a year to consider the implications of the new standards and integrate needed changes. The path to successful conformance, while different for each IA department, will depend on such factors as the internal audit function’s maturity state, the size of the function, the gap assessment, and the function’s implementation/integration plan. This webinar will discuss key updates included in the 2024 IIA Global Internal Audit Standards as well as considerations and best practices for implementation.
Join our panel of experts for a one-hour session where you will hear from David Hyman, senior vice president and senior audit director at US Bank; Raakhee Jagwani, director – interim head of quality assurance and methodology at Mizuho Bank; and moderator Yelena Talmazan, managing director – financial services, internal audit, and risk advisory practice at K2 Integrity.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Identify significant changes in the 2024 IIA Global Internal Audit Standards
- Describe considerations in implementing the new standards
- Discuss challenges within internal audit and board related to the new standards
- List best practices when implementing the standards
