Matt Taylor is a senior investigator at K2 Integrity in London. With extensive experience in international asset tracing, Matt assists clients in locating assets ahead of legal proceedings and to support the enforcement of judgments. His clients range from private individuals to global organizations and his work includes investigative assignments for corporations facing fraud, asset recovery, and dispute issues across a wide range of industries.
Matt has over 14 years of experience in the corporate intelligence and investigations industry, leading a large number of complex multijurisdictional investigations and spending time working overseas in the Middle East. Matt’s cases often involve multimillion-pound assets located in challenging jurisdictions. He is an expert in the deep profiling of individuals and utilizing open source and public record information effectively to determine the financial and corporate interests of the subject. Matt’s expertise has been recognized in Chambers and Partners’ Litigation Support guide, where he has been ranked since 2021. In his 2024 ranking, clients described him as “responsive and extremely helpful,” “great to work with,” and with a “near total recall of matters.”
Matt’s notable investigations include assisting the prosecutor general of an Asian country in conducting an asset tracing investigation focused on high-ranking public officials; conducting a multijurisdictional investigation into an advisor of a Gulf-based family that identified more than $150 million of luxury property assets; supporting a South American client undertaking legal proceedings against a family-owned conglomerate, uncovering over $120 million of assets belonging to the respondents; and identifying over $65 million of assets controlled by two North African businesspeople to support the enforcement of a legal judgment.
Matt has a first-class honors degree in war studies from the University of Kent and a master’s degree in intelligence and international security from King’s College London. He has intermediate knowledge of French and Arabic.
