Ladan will moderate the on 9 May 2024 panel discussion, which will focus on the theme: “Tackling Proliferation Financing Challenges: Latest Red Flags, Emerging Trends, and Case Studies.” State Department official Julia Khersonsky and former UN POE coordinator Hugh Griffiths will discuss:

- Export controls and the nexus of trade and proliferation finance
- Countering proliferation financing implementation trends by financial institutions and the private sector
- Relevant red flags and typologies
The webinar will further tackle the question of how financial institutions in jurisdictions with “UN sanctions only” supervision and regulatory regimes respond to correspondent banking pressure and reputational risks.
