Alan S. Bernikow was a board member with K2 Integrity from 2010 to 2023 and was involved in the day-to-day operations of the firm.
Alan retired as deputy chief executive officer of Deloitte & Touche, an industry-leading audit, consulting, tax, and advisory services firm. His primary responsibilities included assisting the chairman and CEO and managing partner on special projects, including firm mergers and acquisitions, partner affairs, and litigation matters. He was a member of Deloitte & Touche’s Executive and Management Committee; chairman for the Professional Asset Indemnity Limited Big 4 Insurance Representatives; and president for PAIL Vermont Insurance Company Big 4 Insurance Representatives.
Alan had extensive international experience in his role in Deloitte & Touche’s management/risk management, as well as worldwide insurance responsibilities. He was also responsible for many of the firm’s acquisitions in and outside of the United States. During his 30 years with Deloitte & Touche and its predecessors, Alan served many clients across a broad range of industries.
As a member of the community, Alan served as a member of the board of directors of Revlon, Inc. and Revlon Consumer Products Corporation and chair of the audit committee and compensation and stock plan committee of Revlon, Inc. He also served on the boards of UBS Global Asset Management Inc., where he served as chair of its audit committee; Florida Community Bank; and Mack-Cali.
Alan was a member of the board of the Jewish Communal Fund, United Jewish Communities—The Federations of North America, and UJA—Federation of Jewish Philanthropies, and was very active in civic and service organizations.
Alan earned a B.B.A. in accounting from Baruch College. He was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
