Chris Ward is an associate managing director at K2 Integrity. He works with public and private sector clients to develop and implement risk assessments and work plans designed to monitor and audit compliance with project and contractual requirements and to identify and close gaps in project controls, policies, and procedures. These risk assessments also identify and deter fraud and waste, such as product substitutions or inappropriate cost savings. In addition, Chris supervises a team of forensic engineers to ensure delivery of high-quality work product that helps ensure clients’ construction project are in compliance with appropriate regulations and requirements.
Chris audits contractor compliance with various federal grant and loan requirements, such as HUD Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program requirements and Buy America(n) requirements, and ensures implementation of sustainability requirements, such as U.S. Green Building Council LEED building standards. Chris also monitors compliance with environmental and health and safety requirements.
Chris has worked for a variety of government clients, such as the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the New York Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery, and the New York City Housing Authority. Chris joined K2 Integrity through its acquisition of Thacher Associates. Prior to K2 Integrity, Chris worked on environmental projects for government and private-sector clients in many areas, such as oil and gas and industrial manufacturing in the U.K., New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong S.A.R., the People’s Republic of China, Vietnam, Myanmar, Singapore, Indonesia, and the United States.
Chris received his B.Eng. (Hons.) from the University of Plymouth, UK, and is an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP).
