Jules B. Kroll is the executive chair and co-founder of K2 Integrity. He also founded and serves on the board of Kroll Bond Rating Agency, Inc. (KBRA), and is a member of the board of directors at BlueVoyant, a leading cybersecurity firm.
As the founder of Kroll, Inc., Jules is widely recognized as the pioneer of the modern investigations, intelligence, and corporate security industry. In 1972, he established Kroll Associates Inc., setting the standard for professional services firms dedicated to risk mitigation. By employing former prosecutors, law enforcement officials, journalists, and academics, Jules revolutionized the industry with sophisticated fact-finding techniques that provided decision-makers with accurate information, making investigations and risk consulting indispensable corporate services. By the time Jules sold Kroll Associates to Marsh & McLennan Companies in 2004, the firm had reached $1 billion in annual revenue.
Throughout his career, Jules has achieved notable casework accomplishments, including:
- Assisting the government of Kuwait in tracing Saddam Hussein’s stolen assets and uncovering his sources of strategic weapons.
- Tracking funds taken offshore by the KGB for the Yeltsin regime in Russia.
- Helping Nokia and Motorola recover $2.7 billion fraudulently invested by Turkey’s Uzan family.
- Recovering wealth plundered by dictators such as Ferdinand Marcos of the Philippines and Jean-Claude Duvalier of Haiti.
- Uncovering funds funneled by former Peruvian president Alberto Fujimori to his relatives in Japan for the UN.
- Investigating bribes taken by former Brazilian president Fernando Affonso Collor de Mello through his campaign manager for the Brazilian National Congress.
- Recovering $450 million for Alba, Bahrain’s national aluminum company, on behalf of the crown prince of Bahrain after rampant bribery.
In 2009, Jules and his son, Jeremy Kroll, co-founded K2 Intelligence, an investigative, compliance, and cyber defense services firm with a mission to help clients address risks as they seek to expand, invest, and do business around the world. In 2019, K2 Intelligence merged with the Financial Integrity Network (FIN), a strategic advisory firm dedicated to helping clients achieve their financial integrity goals, to form K2 Integrity.
In 2010, Jules founded Kroll Bond Rating Agency, a global full-service rating agency dedicated to restoring trust in credit ratings by setting new standards for risk assessment and offering timely, transparent ratings. KBRA provides market participants with the research, products, and tools needed to make informed investment decisions across various sectors in the United States and European markets.
